A quality practice providing compassionate care

Family Medical Practice is a family friendly General Practice located in the Sutherland Shire. Our doctors are locals who love the shire, and are specialists in looking after the health and wellbeing of your family. We focus on preventive health, endeavouring to ensure that our patients are and remain healthy.

Meet The Team

Our practice is proudly owned by two local Shire GPs, mums who live and love the community. We are passionate about creating the very best family practice experience for our community, where we value health and prevention of disease as much as managing your acute illness.

When you visit, you'll be welcomed by our friendly, approachable team of doctors, nurses and reception staff. We're here to listen, support, and care for you and your family, making every visit feel comfortable and reassuring.

We're more than just a medical practice - we're a team that genuinely cares.

Our Services

Family Medical Practice is a vibrant and dynamic team dedicated to offering a comprehensive family medicine experience to our community. Our patient base is diverse, and we are committed to delivering a warm, compassionate, and professional experience. We actively seek opportunities to extend our services into specialised areas, aiming to provide a more comprehensive suite of offerings that meet the unique needs of our community. Our ongoing focus remains on preventive health, striving to empower our patients to optimize their overall health and well-being.

After Hours Care

We offer an after-hours service that ensures all patients have access to a doctor even when the practice is closed. To access the after-hours service, simply dial 1300 HOME GP or 8724 6300.

All doctors will receive online notifications regarding the service, along with details of the care provided. It's important to note that this service is facilitated by an external medical company.

  • Do you provide ADHD care?

We offer comprehensive ADHD assessments and ongoing management for both adults and children.

Yes. Our clinics provide ADHD-informed care for both adults and children, in line with the evolving NSW shared-care model for ADHD management.

Under this model, GPs may participate in ADHD care at different levels:

    • Tier 1 GPs provide initial screening, assessment, referral coordination and ongoing support for patients with ADHD.
    • Tier 2 GPs undertake additional training that enables them to play a more advanced role in assessment and management alongside specialists.

Our doctors are actively engaged in this model. Dr Rebekah Hoffman and Dr Christopher Timms have been approved to commence Tier 2 ADHD training, which will further expand the ADHD services available through our clinics. Please note: they can not yet complete diagnosis, or initiate NEW treatment – we will update our patients when this can occur.

During an ADHD consultation, your GP may:

    • Review symptoms and medical history
    • Discuss how ADHD may be affecting work, school or daily life
    • Arrange screening questionnaires
    • Provide guidance on referral pathways where required
    • Support ongoing care in collaboration with specialists

Can you prescribe continuation / ongoing ADHD medication?

Yes, a number of our patients can prescribe medications (including stimulants), if you have been initiated on these medications by a peadiatrician or a psychiatrist, please book a ADHD (initial) appointment to discuss.
